Sponsored Events: Merlin's Million Miles - World Record Attempt
Join in Merlin's Million Mile World Record Attempt and help us grant magical wishes for some very special children.
All over the United Kingdom and Ireland individual participants and teams are fundraising by collecting sponsorship donations after running, walking, swimming or cycling etc, a mile towards our
world record breaking target of One Million Miles.
Merlin's Million Miles events can be based on an individual mile, or several individuals / staff members working together to achieve a combined distance totalling several miles, which is added to our total.
The attraction of a combined event covering several miles is that most sponsors prefer to make a donation based on total event miles, rather than on a single mile.
All participants receive free bid credits in our online auctions to the same value as the sponsorship donations they collected, which is our way of saying a positive thank you for their very valuable work on our behalf. Auction prizes include £25,000 in cash, a £20,000 Mini Cooper, a holiday for two in Florida and seven other amazing items, the costs of which are underwritten.
Your ‘Merlin’s Million Miles’ event can be as flexible as you like, all we ask is that you use our downloadable sponsorship forms which can be printed or emailed to participants.

More than 150 children, each suffering from a terminal or serious illness, have had their magical wishes agreed but are currently having to wait up to12 months to have them granted. Tragically some of those children may pass away before their wishes can be granted so we need to bring that waiting time right down by raising desperately needed additional funds.
